Stabila's new "best of the best" professional level in a promotional pack. For the price of the 48" level you receive both the 48" and the 16" level. As the industry leader, Stabila has improved on the "world's best level" with the new type 196 series. The accuracy is certified, top and bottom readings and sports a new rubber hand grip design. Rubber pad end caps and wall grips that are functional yet removable for flush measuring.
Stabila's earned the right to boast, "Always Trust, Never Adjust." They're known for accuracy and dependability. Stabila guarantees that every one of their levels has been electronically calibrated and inspected and has received a certification of accuracy. The vial system, permanently epoxy-locked in the frame by a patented process, is the clearest and easiest to read of any level we've seen. Everything about these levels is quality, from the removable rubber end caps for flush measuring to the big, comfortable hand holds. But what matters most is accuracy, and these are dead-on every time. The vial fluid stays true even in wild temperatures, from -5°F to 165°F. It's German technology that's been in the works for more than a century, and it's paid off with the best for Stabila and its customers.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

it's great
It's extremely well made and guaranteed for life to be very accurate. What more could you ask for in a tool.
Top Quality
You certainly get what you pay for with Stabila. They're certainly more expensive than other brands but their accuracy and durability more than make up for it. I've had my 48" for over 5 years and I'm not gentle with tools. It's still as accurate and straight as it was when I bought it. For most general applications I've found the 48 and 16 the most useful. The 59" comes in at a close second though. It's more useful than it sounds.
Awesome
I've heard many good things about Stabila. All true. Best levels I've used in my 18 years of woodworking.
They're just OK, nothing special at all !!
Wasn't what i expected. Not as well made as my original 6' and 18" Stabila levels. The surfaces don't look well milled at all and they feel bit cheesy to me. They do work and I guess thats what counts but I guess I got what I paid for. Not the great deal I thought I was getting.
I might think twice before ordering Stabila products again. I ordered them thinking ALL Stabila products were as good as the ones I'd purchased in the past. Not so!
I'm considering purchasing a good small Laser level... more info
